The 15th annual TIME 100 gala, celebrating TIME’s list of the world’s most influential people, took place on Tuesday at the Lincoln Centre in New York City.
And Game of Thrones stars Emilia Clarke and Richard Madden couldn’t resist using the star-studded event as an opportunity to reunite, after being honoured on the 2019 list.
The Me Before You actress, 32, stars as Daenerys Targaryen, whereas the Bodyguard actor’s, 32, character Robb Stark was killed off in series three.

Emilia and Richard appeared delighted to reunite at the star-studded event, despite the fact their characters never crossed paths on the hit HBO series.
The Mother of Dragons star looked sensational in a sheer red lace corset, which she teamed with a matching coloured chiffon skirt and a silk ribbon waist belt.
Emilia styled her brunette locks into a sleek blow-dried hairdo, she added a slick of make-up which included red lipstick.

Meanwhile, Richard looked dapper in a black tuxedo complete with a crisp white shirt, a black bowtie and a pair of patent dress shoes.
Emilia is currently starring as Daenerys in the eighth and final series of Game of Thrones.
Whereas Richard has gone on to win a Golden Globe for his role as Sergeant David Budd in BBC One’s thrilling series Bodyguard, after his character was killed off in series three of the hit HBO show.

The 2019 TIME 100 was announced last week and included Dwayne Johnson, Brie Larson, Sandra Oh, Emilia Clarke, Glenn Close and Richard Madden.
Also on the list were Chip and Joanna Gaines, Gayle King, Hasan Minhaj, Indya Moore, Alex Morgan, Ryan Murphy, Mohamed Salah, Clare Waight Keller, Yalitza Aparicio and Lynn Nottage.
Pierpaolo Piccioli, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Massimo Bottura, Tara Westover, Jeanne Gang, Emily Comer, Jay O’Nea and Marlon James made the cut too, along with others.

Only recently, Emilia revealed that she feared that she had lost her ability to act after suffering a second brain aneurysm, after bravely speaking out about her health battle.
Earlier this year, the actress told of how she suffered and survived two brain aneurysms while filming the fantasy drama, during an open letter in the The New Yorker.
Following the candid letter, Emilia made an appearance on CBS Sunday Morning where she admitted that the felt ‘deeply paranoid’.
Emilia explained that when a part of your brain is starved of blood for more than a minute it dies, which is what happened to her after her second aneurysm.

She recalled: ‘So, they [the doctors] literally were looking at the brain and being like, ‘Well, we think it could be – could be her concentration, it could be her peripheral vision,’ she said.
‘I always say it’s my taste in men,’ she joked.
‘For a very long time, I thought it was my ability to act…that was a deep paranoia.’
During the interview Emilia also admitted what it was like to return to the set after her brain haemorrhage which happened after filming season one of the show.
She said that once she returned to shoot the second season she had no time to ‘question her own mortality’ because she was too busy playing a ‘badass character who walked through fire’.
