In this weeks video we visit a stunning modern small home which has been constructed using 3 x 20ft shipping containers. Situated near Lake Taupo, New Zealand, this home is built on a beautiful elevated section with commanding views over the lake and to the mountains beyond.
Brenda Kelly is no stranger to shipping container living, and over the years we have seen several of her designs on the show. When we first met Brenda, she was living in an ultra compact home made from a single 20 ft shipping container. She lived there while constructing a slightly larger home built using a 40ft container with an impressive grid-tied solar system.
Her new design is constructed from 3 x 20ft containers which have been joined to create a stunning 45 square meter (484 square foot) home. Like all her designs, this home shows wonderful utilisation of space and is packed full of clever space-saving ideas and transforming, multifunctional furniture.
