ธีรศิลป์ แดงดา กองหน้าทีมชาติไทย ได้กล่าวว่า “ก็คงเป็นอีกเกมหนึ่งที่เราไม่อยากให้เกิดความผิดพลาดอีกครั้ง อย่างนัดแรกที่เราแพ้มา เราอยากจะกลับมาสู่เส้นทางในการลุ้นเข้ารอบ เกมนี้ก็เป็นเกมที่สำคัญสำหรับเรา หวังว่าจะเป็นเกมที่สนุก แต่ว่าเราก็ต้องการผลที่ดีออกไปจากที่นี่”
“เรามีเพื่อนร่วมทีมจากสิงคโปร์ในสโมสรบีจี ทำให้เราได้เห็นพัฒนาการของฟุตบอลสิงคโปร์ ซึ่งพัฒนาขึ้นมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง รวมถึงผลงานใน เอเอฟซี แชมเปียนส์ลีก ทีมจากสิงคโปร์ก็ทำผลงานได้ดี ทุกครั้งที่แข่งกันก็ไม่ใช่เรื่องง่ายสำหรับเรา”
