Liverpool manager had to pull Nunez away and it remains unclear what triggered the exchange

Nunez, 24, then went up to the manager of the city. The two got into a heated debate, and it was clear he was furious about something.

It’s unclear why the two got into such a heated confrontation, but Klopp had to pull the Liverpool forward away from the Spaniard.

Peter Drury, who was commentating the game, reacted as the altercation progressed, saying, “It looks like some unpleasant words are being exchanged.”

Pep Guardiola and Darwin Nunez got into a furious fight. They needed time apart.

As said earlier, Haaland gave City the lead in the first half. With this goal, he became the first player to reach fifty Premier League goals in a single season, breaking Andy Cole’s record by 17 games.

The Norwegian superstar scored his fifty-first goal since joining Manchester City for £51 million in 2022 with a masterful league debut against the Reds. In just 48 league appearances, he has surpassed the legendary record of 65 set by Andy Cole, the striker for Manchester United.

In the end, Liverpool overcame Man City as Trent Alexander-Arnold’s spectacular goal ensured his team would receive a point.

Even with the draw at home against Klopp’s squad, City currently leads the league. Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal might go ahead if they defeat Brentford this evening.

Liverpool, led by Klopp, is now in second place, one point behind the champions. The Merseyside team will host LASK on Thursday before hosting Fulham in their next league match at Anfield.
