Rodrygo shined with two goals and assisted Jude Bellingham’s remaining goal, helping Real win 3-0 at Cadiz in round 14 to return to the top of La Liga.
At Nuevo Mirandilla Stadium, Real was without Eduardo Camavinga, Vinicius, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eder Militao, Thibaut Courtois or Arda Guler due to injury. But they welcomed Bellingham back after missing the last two matches and missing England’s November training camp.
Without a series of key players, Real still dominated with 62% control, finished 14 times with five hits, and won big on the day Rodrygo led the attack.

In the 14th minute, the 22-year-old Brazilian striker broke through in the penalty area, pierced midfielder No. 8 Alex, then put his heart in the top right corner to open the score. For the first time, Rodrygo opened fire for Real in three consecutive matches in all competitions (scoring four goals). Before the Cadiz match, he contributed a goal in the 3-0 win over Braga in the Champions League and a double in the 5-1 win over Valencia in La Liga.
In the 64th minute, Rodrygo completed the double with an almost similar move – dribbling from the left wing into the penalty area, past a series of Cadiz players and then placing his right foot on goalkeeper Jeremias Ledesma.
10 minutes later, the Brazilian striker continued to leave his mark with a pass for Bellingham to cross with his left foot and cross the corner, setting the score 3-0. Rodrygo is the third Real player to contribute to three goals in two consecutive matches in La Liga in the 21st century, after two matches against Valencia and Cadiz. Before Rodrygo, two Real players achieved this achievement: Cristiano Ronaldo with seven times and Gonzalo Higuain with one time.

With 35 points, Real is one point ahead of second-place Giron, four points ahead of Atletico and Barca. But the army under coach Carlo Ancelotti may return to second place if Girona defeats Bilbao at home in tonight’s late match.
On November 29, Real returned to the Bernabeu to host Napoli in round five of Group C of the Champions League. Ancelotti’s teachers and students only need one point to be sure of entering the knock-out round at the top.
