Verstappen’s Spirited Banter: Hilarious Clip of Drunk Max Calling Out to Perez Goes Viral

A video of Max Verstappen’s drunken talk has made it to the internet and fans are now pouring in with their comments

It has been a few days since the Las Vegas GP got over but new clips and snapshots from F1’s biggest event of 2023 are still making their way into social media. The weekend in Sin City might have started off with some hiccups like Carlos Sainz‘s crash with a manhole cover on the Vegas Strip, but the Main Race more than made up for it. Even though the Ferraris showed great pace at the street circuit, Max Verstappen‘s incredible speed in his RB-19 made him get the victory at the first Las Vegas GP in 40 years.

Reigning World Champion Max Verstappen had been extremely critical of all that went wrong with the initial days of F1’s outing in Las Vegas but his tone changed as soon as he landed a massive win on Sunday. The race saw a total of five different drivers leading the pack at different points in time and Lewis Hamilton made 15 impressive overtakes to finish at P7. The Vegas GP also saw Lando Norris, Nico Hulkenberg, and Yuki Tsunoda retire early due to on-track incidents and mechanical problems with their car.

As the incident-filled race came to an end, the racers were obviously looking forward to partying in the entertainment hub of Vegas. So, Red Bull racers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez made their way to a bar where Max got drunk and his video went viral on X. It showed the Dutch lion calling out Checo’s name again and again in what was very evidently a drunken stupor.

Fans wonder why Max Verstappen was drunkenly calling Sergio Perez at the Vegas bar

As soon as Max Verstappen’s hilarious video went up on the internet, the fans came up with crazy theories as to why he was calling Perez. While some said it was a moment of ‘bromance’ between the Red Bull racers, others claims Max just wanted his teammate to stay back while Checo’s wife was dragging him out of the bar. Several fans even said that Max Verstappen is so much ‘fun’ when he is drunk.

In other news, Max Verstappen is nearing another peak moment in his career which might come at the Abu Dhabi GP next week. If he managed to win the race in the middle-east, he will have 54 Grand Prix victories to his name while Red Bull legend Sebastian Vettel has 53. Thus, the 26-year-old looks well on his way to shatter the German 4-time F1 Championship winner’s record very soon.
