Hard to handle: Trelysia said she broke down into tears when she couldn’t get a hold of Skyler’s father the night before the dance, but Christian promised he would take her
The mom told Today that her daughter really wanted her father to come to the dance with her because he didn’t show up to take her the year before.
‘This year she comes to me ahead of time and says, “Mommy, I want my dad to come with me to the dance. I don’t want grandpa. I want my dad, I want everyone to know I have a dad,”‘ she recounted.
Initially, Trelysia didn’t think Skyler’s dad would disappoint her like that again, but she became worried when she couldn’t get a hold of him in the days leading up to the dance.
She said Christian saw her crying the day before the event and asked her what was wrong. After she explained what was going on, he promised he would take Skylar to the dance if her dad didn’t show up.
