The 22-year-old singer said she enlisted the help of Swedish singer Zara Larsson, Finnish musician Alma, Denmark’s MØ, and fellow Brit Charli XCX to sing her anthem IDGAF to show that girls could be ‘competitive’ without being ‘pitted against each other’.

She sang the pop tune during a Radio One Live Lounge show last month with her friends singing back-up after being invited by text message.
‘It was just so fun to get together and sing a ‘f*ck you’ song,’ Lipa told Stellar magazine.
‘For so long girls have been pitted against each other so being able to share moments like that showed that it is fine to be competitive and that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for everyone,’ she added. ‘You can praise them.’
And Dua’s unofficial gang of popstars is no doubt one to rival Taylor’s squad of successful twenty-somethings.

Lipa shared a clip of the performance on Twitter, writing, ‘So lucky had my girls with me’. Charli XCX also tweeted her excitement, expressing how ‘wild and beautiful and fucking fun’ her Live Lounge experience was.
Dua and Charli have supported each other since early on in their careers, and MØ, Larsson, and Alma all appear in Charli’s last project Pop 2.
