David Beckham has paid tribute to Inter Miami following the team’s last game of the season last weekend, as he celebrated the club’s first piece of silverware with stars, Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets, on a night out for dinner in Vice City.
The ex-England captain wrapped his arm around his eldest son, Brooklyn, 24, while posing for snaps with both former Barcelona players, who played an integral part to Miami’s successful second-half of the season since joining the club mid-July.
Miami’s season ended on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina, in a 1-0 loss to The Crown. The Herons had already been eliminated from playoff contention after their loss to Cincinnati FC (0-1) earlier this month.
Miami, however, defeated Nashville SC (1-1, 10-9 on penalties) to win the Leagues Cup in August. Messi finished as the competition’s top scorer with 10 goals, while Busquets played in all of Miami’s cup games.
‘Another season complete at this incredible football club… and what a season it has been,’ shared Beckham, 45, on Instagram on Tuesday. ‘I want to personally thank the players, the staff and of course our amazing fans, La Familia, for the special journey that we have been on together.
