On November 29th, according to Star News Korea’s report, BTS‘ V, Jungkook, Jimin and RM will enlist in the military together. RM and V will start their service on December 11th and Jimin and Jungkook on the 12th.
In a live stream on Weverse, BTS members spent time with their fans prior to their enlistment. It is common for fans to flock around the establishment to catch a glimpse of their idol when they enlist.
However, RM and V made it clear to fans to not come to their military enlistment ceremony. As part of their plea, RM said “Please don’t come to the place (military) because we don’t want something bad to (happen) other soldiers.”
International fans commented:
- Are they all going to the military? What about Jimin? Why Jungkook and not Jimin? I thought Jungkook is the maknae.
- They all are going. RM and V on the 11th. Jimin and Jk on the 12th.
- It is so sad our Bangtan boys have to literally beg for their space. ARMY loves you BTS, we wish you all a safe and healthy time during service.
- I wish they wouldn’t announce the enlistment days until the day or after they’ve already entered the facility.
- They said it in three different languages so everyone could understand.
- Not gonna lie, a lot of people are leaving the fandom because of this…majority of ARMY want to respect them and there are still a few with no respect and still go.
- Because they know if it is too crowded then the other soldiers’ families won’t be comfortable with all the cameras around.
- There will unfortunately always be those “army” that don’t listen but I truly hope this time they do. This is important to BTS…
- The fact that they have to do this and still toxic fans from other fandoms keep saying that BTS can’t educate their fans when it’s the fans themselves.
- I was crying watching our Leader RM beg and then knelt with Tae. That was heartwarming.
- I hope K-army respects them by not showing up there. We can all wait together for them to complete their duties and come back safely.
- Those who are being inconsiderate are not even Army. They are haters/paparazzi who follow our boys around to capture even the slightest mistakes BTS makes.
- Wow, this gave me chills. The fact that they had to kneel to make fans understand is actually crazy like literally body chills.
- That’s actually insane ngl.
- I’ve been a fan for years, I’m happy to see that they are finally able to speak out their thoughts.
- It’s the fact they really had to kneel and beg to hopefully try and convince certain fans. This breaks my heart.
- Please, they are human and still begging you with love and respect.
