Ahh, New Year’s Eve. Save for St. Patrick’s Day or Valentine’s Day when you are single, NYE might just be the holiday we have the strongest love-hate relationship with. The excitement of a new 365 days ahead, the promise of life-changing resolutions, and the idea of celebrating all that happened in the year prior all sounds lovely—but more often than not, the reality involves being trapped in a crowded, overpriced bar with super-drunk people spilling on your fabulous outfit (amirite?). We’re not trying to be all bah-humbug about it, but as it turns out, we’re not alone in these feelings: Jennifer Lawrence, a woman forever after our hearts, just revealed she’s also not a fan of New Year’s Eve—and perfectly captured our feelings on the night.

“I really hate it,” she said about New Year’s Eve in an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. “I’ve never had a good one. Everyone’s chasing a good time, and it’s always a disappointment. I plan on doing nothing and then if something lands in my lap…but I always end up drunk and disappointed.”
