Tiger Woods and 14-year-old son Charlie Woods will participate in the PNC Championship in December for the fourth straight year.
The event comes two weeks after the elder Woods returns to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, taking place November 30 – December 3.
The younger Woods just won a Florida high school team golf state championship as a freshman.
Tiger hasn’t played since withdrawing from the Masters in April with aggravated plantar fasciitis and having ankle surgery.
The 47-year-old Woods hasn’t played full-time on the PGA Tour for several years with his appearances extremely limited since his horror car crash in February 2021 , but has prioritized playing with his son at the PNC Championship.

The two-round, 36-hole event will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Cub in Orlando, Florida
‘My ankle is fine,’ Woods told The Associated Press. ‘Where they fused my ankle, I have absolutely zero issue whatsoever. That pain is completely gone.’
‘It’s the other areas that have been compensated for… all the surrounding areas is where I had all my problems and I still do,’ Woods continued. ‘So you fix one, others have to become more hypermobile to get around it, and it can lead to some issues.’
The Woods duo have never won the PNC Championship, with their best finish coming in 2021 as runners-up to John Daly and John Daly II by two strokes.
Vijay Singh and son Qass Singh won the PNC Championship last year.
Woods’ status beyond the PNC Championship hasn’t been announced, but if he’s healthy, he’s s shoe-in to play in next year’s Masters tournament.
