Gal Gadot is taking to Instagram to weigh in on the ongoing war between Israel and Palestine. On Monday, the actor took to her Instagram account to share a video of a 9 year-old child who has been abducted by the Hamas in Gaza. She also signed an open letter to US president Joe Biden in an urgent call for release of multiple hostages. Gal Gadot shared a heartbreaking video of a 9 year-old boy who was abducted by the Hamas. The video showed glimpses of the boy named Ohad cut his birthday cake, and talk to his parents in an old snapshot. In the caption, the actor wrote, “Today is Ohad’s 9th birthday. He won’t be celebrating with his family, he won’t be laughing with his friends, instead he will be spending his birthday in the hands of Hamas in Gaza, like he has for over two weeks.”
In a separate post, she also penned an open letter to president Joe Biden as an urgent plea for the release of the hostages taken by Hamas in their terror attack against Israel. “We all want the same thing: Freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. Freedom from the brutal violence spread by Hamas. And most urgently, in this moment, freedom for the hostages,” read an excerpt from the letter. It was jointly signed by many celebrities including Amy Schumer, Bob Odenkirk, Gal Gadot, Chris Rock, Bradley Cooper, Madonna, Greg Berlanti, Constance Wu, Judd Apatow, Tyler Perry, and Sacha Baron Cohen among others.

Earlier Gal had shared that she is heartbroken by the turn of devastating events. to stand in solidarity with Israel and shared news reports on the attack on Gaza. “At least 250 Israeli have been murdered and dozens of women children and elders held as hostages in Gaza, by Palestinian military group Hamas… My heart is aching. Praying for all of those in pain,” she wrote.
On the work front, Gal was last seen in the Netflix film Heart of Stone. The spy thriller, which marked the debut of Bollywood star Alia Bhatt and also starred Jamie Dornan, released on Netflix on August 11.
