10. Jinbe

Very Suspicious

When it comes to worst character traits, Jinbe might be one of the Straw Hats who has very few flaws. It might even be nitpicking to say that Jinbe has a flaw or a bad character trait, however, one particular thing that he does is always be on guard, even around characters who end up aiding him.

This was seen towards the end of the Wano arc, where Yamato declared their intention to join the Straw Hat Pirates, however, Jinbe interrupted by showing his suspicions and saying that Luffy would tell the truth of the matter to them about this later. He has also done this on other occasions and while this certainly shows his unwavering faith in his captain, it is also somewhat frustrating for the fans to see at some points. However, it must be noted that Jinbe has very few flaws, to begin with, and that this one is minor.

9. Brook

Pervert, Lack Of Table Manners

Brook has quite a lot of flaws and his character, however, some of them are things that fans have come to love him for. What fans certainly do not love him for is his perverted nature as he goes on to ask any woman that he sees for their panties. This is very weird behavior on his part and certainly isn’t funny either.

Brook rightfully gets beaten for this quite often. Another bad trait that he has is his lack of table manners. Brook is a very messy eater and this is annoying, especially for the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates, Sanji, who has to look after his specific needs and clean up after him.

8. Franky

Self Proclaimed Pervert

Franky is a character that most fans love, however, he also has a bad character trait and that is his self-proclaimed perverse nature. Franky can be quite a bit of a pervert at times and he has shown this in the series on a few occasions.

However, his perverse nature is still not worse than some other members of the crew and, for him, this isn’t a gag that is overplayed and can actually be used in funny manners, unlike other characters. For Franky, this is a very minor flaw, yet a bad trait nonetheless.

7. Robin

Can Be Rude

Nico Robin is a character that every fan adores, however, Robin also has her flaws. As for Robin, she can be quite rude at times and blurt out whatever is on her mind. She doesn’t care about the feelings of people who she doesn’t really know and can be quite crude. For instance, very recently in Wano, Robin interrupted Sukiyaki when he was going over the traumatic experience that he suffered in Wano and simply asked him to tell her about Pluton.

She also blurts out very grim stuff at times pertaining to the death of her very own crewmates or other people, and while this is surely a gag, it is not a good trait.

6. Chopper

Easily Manipulated

Chopper is gentle and sweet when compared to other members of the Straw Hat Pirates, and this sweet nature of his can become a bad trait for his character, in the sense that he can be easily manipulated. This is because Chopper is often treated as the baby of the crew.

For instance, in Wano, every member of the Straw Hat Pirates believed that Luffy had not died after Kaido declared that he had thrown him into the sea. However, Chopper was the one who gave up faith first of all. Sanji was the one who had to console him and make him realize that the crew had witnessed thousands of miracles over the years and that Luffy would pull through once again.

5. Sanji

Perverse Behavior With Women

Sanji has certainly got one of the most annoying gags in the entirety of One Piece, and this pertains to his perverse nature as well. While being a love cook is certainly not bad and not necessarily a bad trait, Oda often crosses a line with this character and brings out his perverted nature through Sanji.

Sanji has been often seen doing quite a lot of questionable things that end up ruining the character for a lot of people and rightly so.

4. Usopp

Too Much Of A Scaredy Cat

Usopp also has bad traits, and for him, these traits are directly connected to his personality. Usopp is a scaredy cat, and while this often leads to him having heroic moments, sometimes, Usopp pushes things too far and this annoys the fans.

A prime example of this would be when Usopp abandoned Robin after she was turned into a toy in Dressrosa. Despite leading the tontattas into battle and lying to them about his greatness which comforted them, he let them into trouble and abandoned them when they were caught. He even abandoned Robin and ran at first, however, later on, he returned to save the day. While he ended up being a savior, the fact that he left certainly annoyed the fanbase in the beginning and this has happened with this character on many occasions.

3. Nami

Can Be Short-Tempered

For Nami, there are quite a few character flaws and her short temper might just be the biggest of them all. Nami often loses her temper on the smallest of things which the rest of the crew might not be bothered by. This could be down to the fact that Nami is more human when compared to the other monsters that are present on the Straw Hat Pirates and that she often feels in charge of the crew.

Yet, at the end of the day, the Straw Hat Pirates are a jolly bunch who love to play around and joke and, sometimes, Nami can take things too far.

2. Zoro

Can Be Too Harsh

Zoro has quite a lot of flaws, however, one that could get on the nerves of the fans is his harsh way of life that he often forces on others. Zoro lives by the way of the sword. He tries not to show emotions that he deems unnecessary, and while that is fine, he also forces that on others at times.

The Straw Hat Pirates have shown their dissatisfaction with this behavior of his on many occasions. For instance, when the Straw Hat Crew felt sad for leaving Vivi behind in Arabasta, Zoro tried to invalidate those feelings, which can be quite insensitive. He did the same thing when Chopper was taken by Foxy during the Davy Back Fight, and he has done this on many occasions later on in the story as well.

1. Luffy

Too Careless

For Luffy, the biggest character flaw that he has is that he can be reckless at times and endanger the lives of his entire crew. Luffy is a fun character and while that is fine, at times, he takes things too far and puts his entire crew in near-death situations.

Of course, sometimes, it is this personality of his that separates him from the others and makes him a unique pirate, however, at others, there is absolutely no need to risk the lives of his crew and he ends up doing that regardless.
