Will Charlotte Cassadine Fall Into Mr. Brennan’s Trap?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note now that fans know Mr. Brennan (Charles Mesure) is Pikeman, all eyes are on the newest character to enter the Port Charles scene. He’s handsome, charming, devious, and quite clever, which means he’s more than a few steps ahead of his enemies.

Brennan is gunning for both Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), but will he have a secret weapon in Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) to bring one, or both, of them down?

General Hospital Spoilers – Charlotte Cassadine’s Disdain For Anna Devane

GH spoilers for the week of December 11th imply that Charlotte’s hatred for Anna won’t waver anytime soon.

Despite everyone telling the young girl that Devane did not shoot her on purpose, she’s not only terrified of the superspy, but she’s also fiercely protective of her father Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and wants him far away from Anna.

Valentin’s cover-up of Charlotte’s stalking successfully ended his relationship with Devane.

Still, during a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest (SOD), Charlotte’s portrayer, young actress Scarlett Fernandez made it clear that the teenage girl was not done with Anna yet. As her father’s romance is over, what will Charlotte do to further antagonize Ms. Devane and why?

GH Spoilers – Could Mr. Brennan Push Her Buttons?

As the head of the WSB, Brennan knows how to get to people, and is likely quite crafty in reading minds and manipulation. He’s also privy to a ton of information and is probably aware of young Charlotte’s situation and her disdain for Anna.

In an attempt to bring Ms. Devane down, could Brennan have a few “chance” encounters with Charlotte and place a seed of a plan in her mind?

Much like Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), he could use the child as a pawn in his scheme to lure Anna somewhere and set a trap for the superspy.

Then again, as another target of his is Sonny, and Corinthos happens to be married to Nina Reeves-Corinthos (Cynthia Watros), who also happens to be quite close to Charlotte, could he lure the mob boss’s wife somewhere and kidnap her (with the “help” of Charlotte)?

Nina would make pretty good leverage if he wanted to secure that Pikeman deal, after all.

The rate has been raised and the threshold at which firms must pay has been cut, with ministers adamant it was the only way to prop up public services.
