They just saw their film By The Sea capsize at the box office, but that failure doesn’t seem to have dampened the spirits of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
On Wednesday the married couple looked happier than ever as they left their six children at home to take a kayak trip in Vietnam, where the 40-year-old Oscar winner has been directing a film.
The beauty smiled from ear to ear as she was seen by the side of her 52-year-old spouse as they took a speed boat to a bay where they got into a kayak.
Jolie, who often appears somber when out on the town, beamed with happiness.
The LA native looked to be having the time of her life next to her husband of one year. He too seemed to be in a playful mood as he held his hand up and smiled as onlookers noticed him.
The two were dressed in casual chic attire – he is a beige shirt and olive scarf with orange accents and she in a black and white jacket over a black V-neck top.

Jolie had her long locks dyed black and she also had on sunglasses that looked as if they were from the 1940s.
The pair was escorted by three men, one in a Navy suit.
After being driven by steep mountains in their speed boat, the two were seen inside a kayak with Jolie in front and Pitt in the back.
Mr and Mrs Pitt were checking out the caves inside Halong Bay.
Jolie has been in Vietnam to shoot her latest endeavour, a Netflix film version of the harrowing Khmer Rouge memoir First They Killed My Father.
The actress and director was seen on location in Cambodia on Thanksgiving Day, speaking to members of the cast and crew in popular tourist town Siem Reap in the staggering heat.
Angelina is bringing human rights activist Loung Ung’s 2000 memoir of the same name to life with her screen adaptation, which she has also co-written.
First They Killed My Father tells the harrowing tale of Ung’s life through the Khmer Rouge years, under the reign of dictator Pol Pot, and her escape from the ‘killing fields’ in the 1970s.
The film will also star Angelina’s 14-year-old adopted son Maddox, who hails from Cambodia: he’ll also help out on the production side of things.
The Unbroken director first expressed an interest in adapting the book after reading it over a decade ago.
As far as By The Sea, the film has made less than $1 million at the domestic US box office, but has been doing well in Europe.
Jolie and Pitt star as a married couple that try to repair their relationship during a trip in France.
Set in mid-1970s, former dancer Vanessa and her husband, American writer Roland, have tension they can’t get over.
They seem to be growing apart, but when they linger in one quiet, seaside town they begin to draw close to some of its more vibrant inhabitants, such as a local bar/cafΓ©-keeper and a hotel owner.
