Portia’s Excitement For Curtis’ Experimental Procedure Could Leave Him With Questions For His Wife

General Hospital (GH) spoilers report Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) did a fairly good job at hiding her excitement as she opened up and told her husband, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), that she submitted his name for an experimental medical trial that could return his ability to walk.

She was cool, calm, and collected as she told him she was too hopeful — on his behalf — to wait or possibly miss the window to submit his name. But that didn’t stop him from pressing further and asking her why she didn’t give him a ring and check with him first.

General Hospital Spoilers —Was Portia Robinson Worried Cutis Ashford Would Say No?

Thereby cutting her off at the pass and rendering her unable to even take the shot for him? Is she hoping to turn his paralysis around for his benefit — or her own?

Her unilateral move to pursue this option without Curtis’ input is only going to leave him wondering what’s really going on in his wife’s mind.

GH Spoilers — Curtis Ashford Is Acclimating

Curtis isn’t quite as devastated about his condition as he initially was. Coming home from the hospital was a tough transition, and he’s spent very little time outside of his house and physical therapy — even departing from his regular hours at The Savoy.

Still unnerved about moving into society as the guy everyone used to know as being so fit and active, to now being on wheels full-time is a hard segue to accept, but he has.

However, Portia’s latest move to get him considered for an experimental procedure will have him wondering whether she has accepted it though.

General Hospital Spoilers — Tease Portia Robinson Is Accelerating

Portia might not be focusing too terribly much on Curtis’ plight now in light of her recent promotion at work. Becoming Co-Chief of Staff was a major move she wasn’t expecting.

She’s spending a lot more late nights at the hospital now trying to make her mark and improve things on her watch.

Meanwhile, Curtis is at home dealing with the reality of his new life, much of the time with his father by his side instead of his wife.

GH Spoilers — Love In Limbo

There is no doubt in Curtis’ mind that his wife loves him, but that doesn’t mean she has accepted the reality of their future together.

Still, as he grieves that he will never again push his lady love across the dance floor, it’s less than kosher for Portia to mention she’s going through the same grief.

Instead, she’ll throw herself into every corner of positivity that she can — all the while claiming she is there for him while no one is really there to support the sense of loss she’s also going through.

Curtis won’t be able to stop himself from wondering if she’s hoping for this experimental procedure because she wants to see him happy again — or because she isn’t happy with a husband in a wheelchair.

Britain is likely to line up alongside the EU against the US if Donald Trump triggers a new trade war, a senior minister has signalled. Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds told peers that the UK would need to ‘weigh the consequences’ of any demands the incoming US president makes on trade if they risk damaging relations with the EU. Britain has a larger trading relationship with the bloc than America and would be cautious of provisos that may have an ‘adverse’ effect on ties with Brussels, he told peers last night.
