This public beta test will be available for those who own the PC version of FighterZ on Steam, meaning fans who own the game on other platforms won’t be able to participate in this test for the time being.

Hiroki also takes the opportunity to apologize to the fans of Dragon Ball FighterZ who had been waiting for this update, especially over the multiple times it had been delayed. She expresses that the developers are grateful to all the fans who have been patient as they worked hard to build a satisfying online environment. As previously mentioned, the next-gen versions of Dragon Ball FighterZ will have rollback netcode implemented already, so this PC version beta test will help stress test the environment before introducing another test on consoles. The next-gen re-releases of the fighting game will include free upgrade paths for previous owners of the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions. The previous announcement at EVO 2022 had excluded FighterZ‘s Nintendo Switch version, so fans shouldn’t expect this version of the fighting game to get rollback.
