While Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was already famous through his success in the NFL, he’s quickly finding that being the boyfriend of Taylor Swift leads to a different level of attention than before.
Kelce has been inundated by paparazzi and coverage from various media outlets since he began his relationship with the international pop star.
Travis’s older brother – Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce – shared an insight into how his younger sibling is dealing with the attention in an interview with NBC Sports’ Peter King.
‘It’s certainly been weird, the level that it is now,’ Jason, 35, said. ‘On one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about, that he is genuine about.
‘But there’s another end of it where it’s like, “Man, this is a lot.”‘
Coverage has gone beyond just the ludicrous amount of attention that has been paid to their relationship on gamedays via the broadcasts of Travis’s NFL games.
Now that Kelce’s in the public eye, people have been taking pictures of him doing everyday things.
‘There’s paparazzi talking about him fueling his car before the game today and I’m like, ‘Is that really necessary information to share?’ Jason said.
‘This is another level of stardom that typically football players don’t deal with. And so on one hand, really, really happy for my brother and where he’s at in his current situation with Taylor but on the other hand, there’s some, I think, alarms sometimes with how you know, over-in-pursuit people can be.’
Travis has been open in his assessment of the paparazzi’s intrusion into his personal life – talking about it on a September 27 episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast that he co-hosts with Jason.
‘I’ve noticed a few things, paparazzi outside my house, s–t like that, for sure. One hundred percent and they all have British accents too, or something European.’

Swift has become a fixture at Chiefs games – appearing at four of the last five contests that Kansas City has played.
That includes a road trip to the Meadowlands on Sunday Night Football – where Kelce and the Chiefs beat the New York Jets.
She was also at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday – where the Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers 31-17. That game also saw a great performance from Kelce, who hauled in 12 catches for 179 yards and a touchdown.
