Dr. Dre — “The Watcher” feat. Eminem & Knoc-turn’al Certified Silver in UK

The opener from Dr. Dre’s second album, “2001”, has obtained its first certification in the UK.

“The Watcher” features Eminem on the chorus together with Knoc-turn’al. This is, however, not his only contribution to the song. Rumour has it that Em, credited as a writer alongside Dr. Dre, wrote more than the chorus. The verses are full of Eminem’s recognisable tropes, his signature sarcastic tone and vowel modulation in rhyming.

While the authorship of “The Watcher” lyrics might be an open topic for discussion, there is no doubt that Em’s freestyle over the same beat belongs to him.
