Between the Eagles’ and the Chiefs’ schedules, celebrating Christmas can be tricky for the Kelces.
Jason Kelce’s wife, Kylie Kelce, recently opened up about her family’s holiday plans—if football doesn’t force them to make last-minute changes, that is.
In an interview with People published on Saturday, Dec. 16, Kylie offered insight into how she spends Christmas with her Philadelphia Eagles center husband and their three daughters, Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, 8 months.
Unsurprisingly—considering how close Jason is with his younger brother, Travis Kelce—the family’s plans take her brother-in-law’s schedule into consideration, too.
“For the most part, we usually try to get as many people together as possible,” Kylie said, noting her parents and Jason’s father are typically there because they live nearby. “But Jason’s parents usually try to split the holidays to make sure that one parent is with one brother and one parent is with the other.”
She added, “Every so often we luck out, and we get everyone at the same time. Football kind of throws a wrench in things sometimes.”
On Christmas Day 2023, for example, the Eagles play the New York Giants at home while Travis’ team, the Kansas City Chiefs, play the Las Vegas Raiders at home—so the Kelces may have to celebrate before or after Dec. 25.
“It’s a lot of planning, but we’re super flexible about it,” Kylie shared. ” So we’ve had a couple of Christmases that were not actually on Christmas and the same with Thanksgiving.”
Of course, Jason and Kylie may also have to consider the schedule of Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift, this holiday season. The pop star and Chiefs tight end have reportedly “talked about holiday plans and how everything will work during their busy season,” a source close to Travis told The Messenger. Reportedly, the power couple has “plans in December to be with each other’s families for the holidays.”
Whenever the Kelces are able to align their schedules, fans would love to see a big family holiday photo!
