DR Dre’s eldest daughter claims she hasn’t seen her dad in 17 years and that he’s never even met her children, his grandchildren.

LaTanya Young, 37, said that she wants a relationship with her superstar rapper father after claiming she has not seen him in almost two decades.

Dr Dre – whose real name is Andre Romelle Young – is believed to be worth about $800 million.

But according to LaTanya, she doesn’t want anything from him other than a father-daughter relationship.

“Money is not what I want, I feel better doing it on my own,” she told Daily Mail TV, before revealing she has applied for a job as a Fedex driver while training to be a nurse.

“I really just want to have closure. I just want to be able to spend time with my father.”

The mom-of-four reportedly told the publication she doesn’t even know the producer’s personal cell phone number and that Dre has never even met her children.

But according to her, their relationship has always been strained, and that she was forced to go through her father’s staff to communicate with him even when she was a child.

“I hated going through third parties. If I needed him, I’d have to go to the studio and get bombarded and talked to by his security,” she said.

“I would have to go through his accountant or his right hand man, I would never know whether he got my messages. I have never had a direct line to him.”

Dre split with LaTanya’s mother, Lisa Johnson, 53, when she was five years old. The couple had three children together: LaTanya, LaToya, 36, and Ashley, 35.

In 1996 he went on to marry Nicole Young, with whom he is now estranged amid a recent, and very bitter, divorce battle.

LaTanya, who now lives in Victorville, California, said she hoped that after Nicole was out of the family, “things would be better”.

“I thought that my dad would come around. I would like him to make me feel like a daughter,” she added.

Nicole allegedly embezzled $385,000 from the rap legend in their divorce case, spurring on an LAPD investigation launched earlier this year.

However, she has said that she had a right to the funds due to the account having her name on it, according to reports.

Dre’s business partner, Larry Chatman, went to the police to file a report claiming that Nicole withdrew thousands from the business account without permission, according to TMZ.

Nicole’s legal team previously told TMZ that the claims are a “smear campaign” and “PR stunt.”

However, if she is charged it is possible that she could do time in jail.

Nicole filed documents seeking to end her marriage with Dre back in June in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

She reportedly cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, and is seeking spousal support from Dre.

The couple has two adult children, 23-year-old son Truice and 19-year-old daughter Truly.

Dre has four children from previous relationships.
