Hours after releasing a new song thought to be about Justin Bieber, his wife Hailey said she was listening to I’ll Kill You.
But Selena Gomez dismissed the coincidences as she drove to a meeting in Burbank on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old singer looked stunning in a plunging black suit and stiletto heels as she arrived at Burbank Studios.
Selena seemed to be serious as she stepped out into the sunlight, holding a smart white handbag.
She topped off her look with a pearl choker necklace and a head full of loose, romantic waves that fell just over her breast.
Selena additionally enhanced her complexion with pink blush and smokey eye shadow.
The actress seemed to be enjoying herself, and with reason: she had recently released new songs after a four-year hiatus from the limelight to concentrate on her health.
Lose You To Love Me was published at midnight on Wednesday, and it looks to be about her broken romance with Justin.
The lyrics seem to allude to the little time it took Justin to go from Selena to Hailey.
‘You turned me down, and now it’s showing / In two months, you replaced us / Like it was simple / Made me believe I deserved it,’ she says.
Hailey uploaded a screenshot of a Summer Walker song she was listening to called I’ll Kill You shortly after the song’s official release.
Fans immediately speculated that the song was a retaliation to Selena’s recently released tune.
‘Selena Gomez released a song (stream for clean skin) about her life experiences with an ex and leaving him behind (Justin Bieber is now married to Hailey Baldwin), and Hailey Baldwin shared this around 5 minutes after. It’s not the first time she’s shaded her, and it’s unlikely to be the last,’ one Twitter user commented.
‘I’m not trying to start any drama, and I’ve never talked about Hailey Baldwin before, I have neutral feelings for her first, I’ve never believed the things that Selenators say about her until now, I mean it’s not a coincidence to post this story right after the song is dropped -1,’ another commented.
But Hailey shot off the rumors on Instagram, stating that the song was not a’response’ to Selena.
‘Please stop with this crap… there is no “response.” This is utter BS,’ she said in a now-deleted comment on a page about the incident.
