Last week, Vin said their relationship is simply misunderstood.
‘I don’t think the world really realises how close we are, in a weird way,’ Vin told USA Today.
It came after The Rock wrote on Facebook last August: ‘My female co-stars are always amazing, and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses.’
Vin addressed the simmering controversy days later on his Instagram account in an equally-cryptic post, saying: ‘Give me a second and I will tell you everything. Everything.’
Speaking to the newspaper, Vin said that ‘some things may be blown out of proportion’ in his interactions with The Rock, noting that he didn’t believe his ‘intention’ was to kickstart a war between the two.
