The actress won the Academy Award in 2012
The career of an actor is full of roles in which, in one way or another, require them to have a unique level of preparation.
Especially those who follow a certain method to physically or mentally resemble their character. And that was the case for Anne Hathaway, star of films such as ‘The Princess Diaries“, who won an Oscar in 2012, but in return went through one of her most critical moments in terms of her health.

Her success dates back a decade, when after having participated in films like ‘Love and Other Drugs’, she decided to enroll in ‘Les Miserables’ to play the role of Fantine, an orphan who demanded a preparation that wasn’t easy for Hathaway and that made her win the Oscar for best supporting actress.
Anne Hathaway’s “anxiety”
Jess Cagle interviewed the performer herself a few years ago on her podcast ‘The Jess Cagle Show’ and Hathaway confessed that she went on to lose 11 kilos in just two weeks.
“I lost an unhealthy amount of weight in just two weeks. I had no idea about nutrition. I put a lot of demands on my body and in the end the one that ended up paying for it for a long time was my brain. I had a lot of anxiety and was very lost at the time,” she said.
By her own admission, she was going through some problems at the time and didn’t know how to manage the process, so her health was irreparably affected by it all. She was lost and, in fact, she had neither the physique nor the emotion to celebrate her first Oscar since her stardom.
In the aforementioned interview, she also expressed her desire not to go through the same thing again, and she said that she lost control and was overwhelmed in those months, since she thought she could deal with the situation and that would not lead to health problems that dragged on for quite some time.
