Kostas Tsimikas sustained a collarbone injury during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Saturday night, according to Jürgen Klopp.
After engaging in a duel with Bukayo Saka in the 34th minute of the Premier League match at Anfield, the left-back was pulled off.
Luis Diaz, who was replaced during the second period after suffering a hit to the knee, will be evaluated in the meanwhile.
During his news conference following the game, Klopp stated: “Tsimikas broke at least his collarbone.” That is very detrimental to us.
When asked if Diaz was injured, the Reds manager said, “I hope not.” He was in anguish; it was knee on knee, and we wanted to change twice at that precise moment before Lucho passed out.
We actually intended to wait to see if Lucho needed to be taken off, but we ultimately changed all three as we could no longer wait for Lucho to be as he is.
“We play in three days, and you never know how quickly the turnaround is, so we’ll have to see,” Lucho said to me. The physios weren’t too concerned. I’m not sure.
