Kevin Durant Made NBA History In Mavs-Suns Game

Kevin Durant made NBA history during Monday’s game.

On Monday evening, the Phoenix Suns are hosting the Dallas Mavericks in Arizona.

Kevin Durant is playing in his 1,011th career game, which ties Jermaine O’Neal for 139th on the NBA’s all-time regular season games played list.

Following O’Neal, the next player for Durant to pass will be Nicolas Batum (1,013).

Durant is 35 but still remains among the best players in the league and came into evening with averages of 30.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 52.1% from the field and 47.3% from the three-point range.

That said, the Suns are 14-14 in their first 28 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Western Conference.

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

At home, the Suns have gone 7-8 in the 15 games they have played in Arizona.

Following the Mavs, they will play their next game on Wednesday evening against the Rockets (in Houston).

Durant was the second pick in the 2007 NBA Draft out of Texas and is in his 16th season in the league.

The 2014 MVP has also spent time with the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder.

His career averages are 27.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 49.9% from the field and 38.7% from the three-point range.

With the Warriors, Durant won two NBA Championships, and he has played in 166 NBA playoff games.
