Hailey Bieber has been busy in London promoting her skincare brand, Rhode, but that didn’t stop her from taking a little shopping trip to Marylebone—giving fans a fabulous, Buffy-inspired street style look in the process.
In recent years, Bieber has garnered a reputation for stellar street style. This year, in particular, we’ve seen the young entrepreneur embrace a range of fashion forward trends, from bulky jackets with mini skirts, to polo shirts and low-rise jeans.
The leather-on-leather set, comprised of black straight-leg trousers and a cropped leather jacket, is reminiscent of Buffy Summers from everyone’s favourite nineties-to-noughties TV series, Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Buffy (vitally played by Sarah Michelle Gellar) quickly became a style icon of her generation, and with her slim sunnies and purposeful walk, we’re guessing Bieber is aware of the influence!
However, the Buffy leather look (as it should now be known) wasn’t the only stunning ensemble worn by Bieber over her London trip.
Styled by Dani Michelle—Bieber’s long-time stylist, who is also recently responsible for all of Kendall Jenner’s phenomenal pre-Met Gala looks—Hailey Bieber’s London closet is full of designer brands and vintage nods.
Many of the looks followed a nineties or noughties aesthetic. A highlight is the grey sequined strapless dress she wore to her Rhode UK launch party. Designed by N21, the dress is somewhat reminiscent of Rachel Green or Carrie Bradshaw.
Meanwhile there was a dress actually from the ’90s: a vintage Thierry Mugler LBD number with a dramatic detailed neckline.
