Lizzo wore a golden disco ball outfit while performing onstage and an opulent navy gown on the red carpet on Sunday at the BET Awards in downtown Los Angeles.

The 34-year-old singer opened the awards ceremony at Microsoft Theater in a mirrored long-sleeved crop top and matching trousers while standing in front of a giant golden disco ball.

She played the flute solo before launching into a spirited rendition of her lead single About Damn Time from her upcoming fourth studio album Special.

Lizzo was accompanied by backup dancers dressed in similar golden outfits.

The Grammy Award-winning singer earlier stunned upon arrival in an iridescent frock that featured a black feather trim and a thigh-high slit at the front.

Lizzo finalized her look with a pair of open-toe black platform heels, and wore her black tresses in slick waves, with an intricate baby hair pattern created celebrity hair stylist Shelby Swain using products from Dove Hair.

‘For Lizzo’s BET Awards look, we wanted to create both a fun and out of the box look inspired by finger waves and the mullet – resulting in the super cute mashup look she wore on the red carpet,’ Shelby explained.

To achieve this, the hair pro used the Dove Amplified Textures Shine & Moisture Finishing Gel to mold the style and create the detailed curls that framed her face.

The look was finished off with the Dove Style + Care Extra Hold Hairspray to ensure it remained in place while Lizzo posed for the cameras on the carpet.
