They say high school never ends, but what about the rumors surrounding Brad Pitt and MIT professor Neri Oxman?
While the Oscar winner continues to enjoy life with girlfriend Ines de Ramon, his friendship with Oxman continues to make headlines.
On Monday, Bill Ackman addressed his wife’s reported connection to the actor in a series of social media posts to White House correspondent Simon Ateba.
“He called and expressed interest in her work,” Ackman shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday. “He came to visit Neri’s lab once or twice, and she met him once in San Francisco in connection with a cultural architecture project idea he was working on that did not go forward. There was nothing questionable about her relationship with the actor. It was totally professional.”
Ackman added on Monday, “And yes, the famous actor was Brad Pitt.”
Despite Ackman’s assertion, many social media users speculated at length that there was a romantic relationship between the actor and professor.
A source close to the actor confirmed to The Messenger that nothing romantic happened between Pitt and Oxman. “They didn’t date,” the insider exclusively shared. “That was false.”
So where did all these rumors start long ago?
Fans can travel back to April 2018 when Pitt was photographed visiting Oxman’s class at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
But in a New York Times profile published seven months later, Oxman emphatically denied ever dating the Oscar winner. Instead, the publication reported that the professor was in a relationship with Ackman.
