Lady Gaga impressed critics with her sensational performance in A Star Is Born.

And fans were keen to see a glimpse of the singer, 32, when she met them while stepping out in Venice on Saturday following her star-studded film premiere the night before.

The Bad Romance songstress exuded glamour in a stylish little black dress, that had a plunging neckline to show off a glimpse of her cleavage.

Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, pulled her platinum blonde locks into a stylish up-do.

The singer brushed on a glamorous palette of make-up, including a slick of dark pink lipstick, to accentuate her pretty features, as she accessorised with a diamond necklace and matching earrings.

Her co-star, Bradley Cooper also enjoyed a relaxing outing in and around the Italian city, as he was spotted stepping onto a speedboat.

The actor, 43, kept things casual in a dark blue shirt and denim jeans, which he paired with brown Chelsea boots.

Bradley looked dapper as he styled his chocolate brown locks into spikes, and sported a closely-shaved beard.

Bradley co-wrote and directed the remake of 1937 movie, and wrote the soundtrack with Lady Gaga.

Incredible performance: Gaga is barely recognisable as Ally the girl-next-door who has given up on a music career until she is discovered by grizzled rock star Jackson

Pressure: Gaga is the third diva to tackle the story and couldn’t possibly have more fabulous shoes to fill, after Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand

Gaga is barely recognisable as Ally the girl-next-door who has given up on a music career until she is discovered by grizzled rock star Jackson, played by first-time director Bradley.

The pair also star as the main leads, with the story focusing on the story of a hard-drinking country musician, played by Bradley. He discovers and falls in love with a singer, played by the singer.

‘Given the extravagance of the pop star’s usual costumes, it’s almost like you’re seeing her for the first time,’ wrote IndieWire’s Michael Nordine.

‘She instantly makes you believe in her Ally as a no-name talent despite already being one of the most successful singers on the planet. Unassuming but obviously special.’

One way to get around: Her co-star also enjoyed a relaxing outing in and around the Italian city, as he was spotted stepping onto a speedboat

Impressive: Critics said Gaga soared to the occasion. In his five-star review in The Guardian, Peter Bradshaw called her performance ‘sensationally good’

Gaga is the third diva to tackle the story and couldn’t possibly have more fabulous shoes to fill: Judy Garland made the original musical version in 1954. The 1976 remake starred none other than Barbra Streisand.

But critics said Gaga soared to the occasion. In his five-star review in The Guardian, Peter Bradshaw called her performance ‘sensationally good’. The movie was ‘hokum’, but ‘outrageously watchable and colossally enjoyable’.

Critics were also impressed by Cooper’s debut as director. ‘To say that he does a good job would be to understate his accomplishment,’ wrote Owen Gleiberman in Variety. ‘As a filmmaker, Bradley Cooper gets right onto the high wire, staging scenes that take their time and play out with a shaggy intimacy.

‘The new ‘Star Is Born’ is a total emotional knockout, but it’s also a movie that gets you to believe, at every step, in the complicated rapture of the story it’s telling.’

During the film’s press conference earlier that day, the blonde bombshell branded her experience with the film ‘remarkable’ as she detailed: ‘It’s a story about love and about what Bradley refers to as the human plight of addiction.’

Gaga went on to detail her journey into stardom, expressing: ‘When I started out in the music industry and decided to be a singer and go for a processional career I was 19 years and I hit the ground running.’

Bradley gushed over his relationship with the Telephone hitmaker, admitting that the pair instantly connected over their love of food and Italian roots.

He gushed: ‘I remember when we first met, after 10 minutes we were eating homemade food that she cooked – I love to eat – and that was actually a huge bond that we both came from East Coast Italian-American families.’

Revealing he ‘fell in love with her face and eyes’, the screen star continued: ‘We had a real synchronicity on that level from our upbringing.’
