But that’s not the only reason Selena’s fans aren’t happy with her relationship with Benny. Some think he’s not handsome enough. In a series of viral tweets with thousands of likes, social media users made cruel comments about Benny’s looks, body and height.

One Twitter user even said, “Ariana Grande is in a ‘who’s dating the ugliest man’ contest against Selena Gomez,” while one woman on Instagram called Benny unsightly.

“He treats me better than any human being on this planet,” she once said. “He’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Fact,” she added another time.

Selena also had a response to an Instagram comment that questioned her decision to date Benny. “Oh honey I’ve been in therapy since I was 18. I know what’s best for me and I’ll fight until I get what I deserve. I appreciate your wrong opinion but I’m growing,” she wrote.

Despite all the negative comments, the singer reportedly feels good about her relationship with Blanco. “She feels so safe and protected with him so she felt like it was a good time to share with her fans how happy she is,” said an anonymous source close to the couple.
