Sanji will fight his most powerful opponent yet in One Piece’s egghead arc.
One Piece is nothing short of incredible at the moment as the series tackles the climax of the Egghead Island arc. This arc has featured some of the most exciting fights, and at the same time, some of the most incredible storytelling, thanks to events such as the Kuma flashback, among others. Of course, While this arc has already featured some amazing fights, there are others that are yet to take place.
In fact, the major fights of the Egghead Island arc have not even begun yet and fans are incredibly excited to see their favorite characters take up arms against the World Government. These are the fights that the Straw Hat Pirates will engage in against the World Government. Of course, the monster trio of the Straw Hat Pirates will be at the forefront of things, and it appears that Sanji will have a very special opponent lined up for him.
Sanji On Egghead Island So Far
The Egghead Island arc has proven to be the first major test for the Straw Hat Pirates after they became a Yonko crew. It has also seen Luffy being faced with the greatest challenge ever in his path, as he’s up against a Navy fleet of 30,000 soldiers, which includes nine Vice Admirals, one Admiral, and of course, a member of the Five Elders. As such, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates have quite a lot of work to do on Egghead and it is inevitable for them to take part in some major fights here if they are to escape this island alive and claim victory.
When it comes to Sanji specifically, fans have already seen him engage in some interesting fights on Egghead Island and he has already done quite a lot of heavy lifting. For instance, Sanji fought S-Shark on Egghead quite early and he proved to be strong enough to deal some damage to him when he was first revealed in the story. S-Shark proved to be quite powerful, however, not enough to overwhelm or even intimidate Sanji. Later down the line, Sanji fought against him once again, this time, however, with his Germa power activated. He was quite clearly more impressive than S-Shark and significantly dominant in combat against him.
This wasn’t the only fight that Sanji took part in during the Egghead Island arc. As soon as the Marines laid siege to the island, The CP0 group started acting independently and Rob Lucci immediately went for the assassination blow on Vegapunk. Thankfully, he was blocked by Zoro. Meanwhile, Sanji acted quickly and trapped Kaku inside a bubble, taking incredible preventive measures before the enemy even struck. While these are all exciting events, Sanji only fought against stronger opponents when he left the Labophase. He easily evaded some blows from the Vice Admirals, and later down the line, faced off against Saturn. At first, Saturn was seen overpowering Sanji, however, later, he held his own against this mighty member of the Five Elders.
Sanji Saves Bonney
One Piece chapter 1104 was incredible for Sanji as he was seen taking action finally after breaking free from Saturn’s curious ability to hold people down with an invisible force. As soon as Kuma used his powers to crush Saturn’s face and sent him flying, Sanji and the others were allowed to move again. Of course, Saturn was damaged by this attack, however, it wasn’t enough to put him down. Saturn immediately healed with his inexplicable abilities and went for the killing blow on Kuma and Bonney once again.
This time, however, it was Sanji who jumped at Saturn and easily kicked one of his legs off, protecting both Kuma and Bonney in the process. Sanji vowed that he wouldn’t let Saturn harm Bonney again, and fans already know that when Sanji says he’ll do something, he, more often than not, does it. This proved to be a great moment for Sanji as it saw him face off against one of the greatest enemies in the entirety of One Piece and certainly one of the strongest characters as well.
Now, Sanji is faced with the collaborative might of Saturn and Admiral Kizaru, who joined the battle immediately after. Things are going to get even more interesting as the Egghead Island Arc continues and it appears that Oda has already lined up a fight for Sanji.
Sanji Vs Saturn And Kizaru
In One Piece chapter 1105, Sanji is going to be heavily involved in combat. Fans know that Kuma, who joined the fight and the previous chapter, is most likely not going to be taking part in the battle anymore. Atlas was seen carrying him back to the Labophase. Meanwhile, Vegapunk gave the order to take Bonney back to the Labophase as well. While Bonney has not yet left the lower level, she will, most likely, follow Kuma. This means that Sanji and Franky are the only ones down below who are taking on Saturn and Kizaru. Luffy, in the meanwhile, has completely disappeared.
Now, fans can rest assured that Luffy will join the fight at some point, however, until that happens, everything rests on the shoulders of Sanji and Franky In the case of Franky, fans saw him being blown away by Kizaru in the previous chapter, and it is highly likely that he took a lot of damage by the lightspeed kick. This means that Sanji is the only one taking on Kizaru and Saturn at the moment and that it is going to be an incredibly exciting fight for the fans.
Sanji’s Ultimate Egghead Fight
It goes without saying that Luffy will join the battle against Saturn and Kizaru at some point. When that happens, Luffy will, like always, take on the stronger opponent. In the Egghead Island arc, this person will likely be none other than Saturn himself. Luffy’s fight against Saturn would mean that someone else will have to take care of Kizaru, who is the second strongest on the island. Fans already know that Zoro is busy fighting against Rob Lucci. This means that Zoro will not be involved in the fight against Kizaru. As such, the only person who’s capable of taking on this level of threat is going to be none other than Sanji.
Kizaru versus Sanji is a fight that is most definitely going to happen in the Egghead Island Arc. Of course, fans must remember that Franky is around the corner as well and he could end up aiding Sanji in this fight. However, given his level of strength, his contribution is not going to be all that heavy. This means that it is up to the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates to battle against Kizaru. This is a fight that makes sense on every level, be it plot-related or, thematically. Sanji and Kizaru wield similar fighting styles as both are kickfighters and prioritize speed in combat. It would be incredibly interesting to see how these two engage in combat with one another and what Oda does with this fight when it eventually happens.
