The fashion era of “brand name girl” Anne Hathaway has just turned a new page.
Versace has just launched the Versace Icons collection with a decisive and equally feminine design: selected from quintessential prototypes gathered over several decades and from the experience of the Milan fashion house in creating the fashion house. Dress for powerful women.
Anne Hathaway is not only known as a beauty monument or fashion icon, the actress is also an active social activist. Possessing sharp beauty and strangely seductive charisma, Anne Hathaway has never framed her image. She regularly visits pediatric cancer patients, calls for donations to marriage equality organizations, increases maternity benefits for women, or publicly supports the LGBTQ+ community. Shedding the sparkling costumes and flashy stage lights, Anne Hathaway is like many other women with the desire to take control of her life. This “personality princess” of Hollywood carries the spirit that the Italian fashion house wants to convey.

“I have long admired Anne because she is an extraordinary artist with strong opinions about her career. She also uses her personal platform as a United Nations ambassador. She has the same views and interests as me.” – Creative Director Donatella Versace shares the reason for choosing Anne Hathaway for the Versace Icons collection. “Dangerous but 𝑠e𝑥y” is the phrase that the powerful designer uses to describe the actress of the movie Love the Brand in this comeback.
The central highlight of the collection is the shaping Corset shirt that creates the signature hourglass shape of Versace. Other highlights in the collection include the black Donatella Versace “DV” suit in Grain de Poudre fabric – Donatella Versace’s favorite outfit; Black jersey dress with Medusa ’95 logo on the straps, inspired by the 1995 Atelier Versace Spring collection; Corset shirts are shaped, combined with jeans or worn under other outfits; Blazer with soft leather; Minimalist “Greca Goddess” Mini bag with geometric pattern buckle.
“These chic wardrobe essentials fit perfectly and embody the beautiful simplicity and strength of Versace’s lines,” shares Donatella Versace. The multi-talented and inspiring women who wear our clothes talk about how Versace makes them feel cared for, confident and gorgeous. That’s what an Icon should feel like. I would wear all of the pieces from this collection as I have worn these same styles for the past few decades.”

“For me, the Versace Icons collection is luxury beyond fashion with Versace’s signature highlight. I’m so proud of these images that seem to represent Donatella’s vision of empowerment. What left the biggest impression on me from this wonderful experience was Donatella’s heart, generosity and kindness. She and everyone in the Versace Family have been incredibly welcoming and supportive, which I am so grateful for. What a thrill to be a Versace woman!” – Anne Hathaway shares.
