Ariana Grande x Lipsy London Also Includes Jewelry.

Arianators, I’ve got a double dose of good news. Yes, you already know that the Spring 2016 Ariana Grande x Lipsy London collection will be shoppable in just a week on March 2. Yes, Lipsy is based overseas, but you can still purchase your favorite pieces online. While Grande hasn’t done too much advance promotion for the range, she has said that the Spring 2016 line is “something special for my fans.” She called it “youthful, affordable” and it’ll boast 20 pieces, offering daywear, prom, and party dress options. Expect a lot of Grande-approved, fit ‘n’ flare, feminine looks. But there are two OTHER exciting elements to the Grande x Lipsy collabo that you need to know about and the info has flown a bit under the fashion radar.

First piece of good news? There will be Summer 2016 range that launches in May, so yay for that. Also, the Spring 2016 range will be complimented by a jewelry collection boasting more than 30 pieces.

Whoa! So now Grande can add “jewelry designer” to her impressive and expanding resume! I was already interested in the Ariana x Lipsy London collection. Now, I’m getting impatient, because I want to check out the jewelry offerings.

According to press release that was posted on Grande’s official site, the singer created “a feminine and delicate range which captures her charm, creativity, and playful spirit.”

Yes, yes, and yes. Grande’s Grammy bling was pretty stunning, but her Lipsy collection sounds like it will be super wearable every day and IRL.

The Lipsy jewelry pieces were inspired by the look that the petite vocal powerhouse loves and will include heart charms “with a contemporary vibe” and a signature choker. Other styles include crystal pave and frosted finishes. So, yeah, expect simple but chic glamour and a mix of classic and sleek. Like Grande herself.

Here’s my reaction: “OMG! I can’t handle it!”

Even better is the fact that the jewelry is crazy affordable. The prices start at £6, which converts to about $8.35 in USD.

Grande is also known for this piece of jewelry — her red string, which is a symbol of Kabbalah. That’s actually one of the ways fans figured out she was teaming up with Lipsy London during a photo block reveal.

One thing to note. Since there are prom looks in the spring clothing collection, along with jewelry, this could be your one stop shop if you want to import your prom look. You just have to plan ahead, since the pieces are only shoppable online if you don’t like in the UK and you have to deal with shipping and customs.

In recent years, Loewe has set itself apart as a technical construction genius — constantly putting out designs that seem to defy the laws of physics. Some viral examples include: Emma Watson’s gravity-defying dress, their various anthurium designs, and pumps with kitschy heels. Perhaps their most famous fashion feat, however, is Loewe’s beloved Puzzle Bag.

The Puzzle holds a special place in the hearts of fashion people across the industry, because it was the first new handbag Jonathan Anderson introduced as Loewe’s creative director. And though it’s now one of the most sought-after designer bags on the market, initially, the Puzzle wasn’t even intended to be a women’s style.

Anderson first joined the Loewe team in 2013 and introduced the Puzzle as a men’s duffel the following year. It wasn’t until a year after that — in 2015 — that the bag made its way into womenswear.

Aptly named, the Puzzle features a unique composition, stitching fragments of irregularly-shaped leather together to form a soft cuboid accessory. In a press release, Anderson talked about his inspiration, saying: “I set out to find a new way of building a bag, fundamentally questioning its structure. It was about deconstructing a conventional bag to create a flat object with a tridimensional function.”

Since 2015, the Puzzle has become one of the Spanish label’s most recognized products and it continues to be celebrated to this day. Just last October, Loewe released its Spring 2024 Pre-Collection Campaign starring Hollywood legend Maggie Smith. In the now-viral pics, Smith clutched a hunter green Puzzle — an iconic purse for an iconic muse.

Another reason the Puzzle is so popular? It tickles the fancy of “quiet luxury” enthusiasts — and was doing so long before the aesthetic had an official name. According to Libby Page, Market Director at NET-A-PORTER, the handbag is “a top performing style” at the luxury e-tailer for this reason.

“The Puzzle is a unique design that is instantly recognizable as a Loewe bag without the Loewe logo being overtly branded on the front, making it a discreet designer purchase,” she tells Bustle.

Naturally, A-listers and style stars alike have clamored to rock the bag. Beyoncé, for example, was an early adopter, carrying one in shades of pink back in 2016.
