The Monster Trio In Wano

The Monster Trio of the Straw Hat Pirates certainly needed quite a lot of attention after the timeskip and, due to the circumstances, this group barely got any chance to fight at the same time. While Luffy was able to enjoy quite a lot of fights, Zoro and Sanji did not get as many opportunities. Thankfully, Wano saw to it that all three got their respective fights in a manner similar to Enies Lobby and they were able to fight, as well as best their opponents with ease. Luffy was seen fighting against Kaido, the Emperor of the Sea, and he took down a man worth 4.6 billion berries. This was a mighty task for Luffy to accomplish, however, he rose to the challenge and succeeded in doing so, thanks to awakening the power of Conqueror’s Haki Infusion, and later down the line, Devil Fruit Awakening as well.

Meanwhile, Zoro was seen in combat against King the Wildfire. This was a massive fight for Zoro and a big step towards accomplishing his dream of becoming the World’s Strongest Swordsman. Zoro was able to awaken Conqueror’s Haki and channel it using his swords. He was able to completely crush King in battle and become the King of Hell itself. His actions were incredible in this arc and they allowed him to be recognized as one of the strongest members of the Straw Hat Pirates, by far. This is why Zoro gained a bounty of 1.111 billion berries after the events of the Wano arc concluded.

Finally, the last member of the Monster Trio, Sanji also progressed by leaps and bounds in the Wano Country arc. In this section of the story, Sanji was seen fighting against the likes of Queen, which required him to push beyond all his limits With his Germa powers, he was able to reach new levels as a pirate. In fact, Sanji hit such a high level that he was able to defeat Queen effortlessly and would have even been able to defeat King without much trouble whatsoever. Sanji is quite clearly one of the strongest pirates in the One Piece world right now, and his bounty of 1.032 billion berries actually does not do justice to the level of strength that he possesses.

To the fans, it was quite clear to see that the Monster Trio had reestablished itself as a major fighting group in the Wano arc. This only meant that the challenges from here on out would be even greater and this trio has now been faced with multiple amazing challenges in Egghead, which now requires them to put their abilities to the test once again, however, this time as a Yonko crew.

The Monster Trio On Egghead

The Monster Trio has been incredibly busy on Egghead Island, right from the very beginning of the arc. The Egghead Island arc, although short, has seen the Straw Hat Pirates take on multiple powerful enemies. For instance, Luffy has already fought against Lucci and defeated him and combat effortlessly. He managed this in combat without any trouble whatsoever. Later down the line, Luffy fought against Kizaru and, although this battle was a bit more difficult, he still managed to knock him down before Gear 5 ran out. Luffy is likely going to play an even bigger role as the arc continues towards its end.

Meanwhile, Zoro was seen fighting against Kaku and overpowering him in combat. Later down the line, he even engaged in combat against S-Hawk and, now, he’s engaged in battle against Rob Lucci. Of course, Zoro’s fight against Lucci is not as easy for him, and even though it has been quite a while since they started fighting, they are still engaged in battle as of now.

Meanwhile, Sanji has also done bits in Egghead. Some of his biggest contributions came in the battle against S-Shark. He saved Nami from death in the Egghead arc and not only did he save her but he also completely overwhelmed the young Seraphim. In fact, S-Shark was struggling in battle against Sanji, which just went to show the level of strength that he possessed.

The Major Monster Trio Fights In The Egghead Island Arc

The Monster Trio has been even busier now that the climax of the Egghead Island arc has begun. For one, fans know that Zoro is in combat against Lucci at the moment. This fight is most definitely going to play out to the very end, as was confirmed in One Piece chapter 1105. Nami relayed to Sanji that Zoro is still engaged in battle against Lucci. However, she did send Jinbe over to him in order to retrieve Zoro and prevent him from getting lost.

This appears to be a setup by order towards the fact that Zoro versus Luffy is either going to get interrupted, or, Zoro is completely going to beat him after a grueling battle and then Jinbe would aid him in returning to their meeting spot.

When it comes to Sanji, he has a very interesting role ahead of him. Sanji has already used his bubble gun on Kaku, and as a result, this member of the CP0 is not going to be engaging with him in combat. Instead, Sanji is going to be taking on even more difficult foes. He has already been seen engaging in combat against Saint Saturn of the Five Elders. While this is going to be a very difficult enemy for Sanji to beat, there is one who is going to be perfect for him to test his skill against. This opponent is none other than Admiral Kizaru of the Navy. Both of them possess similar fighting styles and the fight has already been set up, especially since Kizaru recently attacked Bonney, which requires Sanji to jump into action. At this point, Sanji is almost guaranteed to fight against him in an extended battle and this is certainly going to be very difficult for him.

Finally, Luffy, the last member of the Monster Trio, is going to be fighting against Saint Saturn. Luffy lost his steam after he fought against Kizaru in Gear 5, however, ever since then, he has consumed quite a lot of food. In One Piece chapter 1105, it was confirmed to the fans that Luffy had consumed enough food to fill his stamina up completely. This only means that he is going to return to action very soon. Once he does, Luffy will most certainly fight against Saint Saturn, who is the biggest antagonist of this arc.
