At 20 years and 362 days old, Hojlund became the youngest player in MU history to both score and assist in two consecutive Premier League matches. Previously, this record was established by Ronaldo when he was only 21 years old in 2007. Before that, Hojlund both scored and assisted in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham at Old Trafford. In the previous match, Hojlund also scored 1 goal in MU’s hard-fought 4-2 victory over Newport in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

This was Hojlund’s first Premier League goal assisted by a teammate. Hojlund’s two previous goals in the Premier League were both “self-serving” before Luke Shaw assisted the Danish striker to score to increase the score to 2-0 against Wolves.

Rasmus Hojlund has now scored in three consecutive Premier League appearances. MU’s £72 million signing has failed to score a goal in the Premier League in his first 14 appearances. Hojlund has now scored 9 goals and added 2 assists in 27 appearances since arriving at MU from Atalanta , including 5 goals in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, a dramatic 3-2 victory over Wolves helped Manchester United rise to 7th place on the Premier League rankings with 35 points, 8 points behind Tottenham’s Top 4 position and 16 points behind top team Liverpool.
