Midfielder Bruno Fernandes received a huge offer from the Saudi Pro League to leave MU in January.
According to Record newspaper, the Red Devils captain rejected the offer from Al Hilal Club. It is unclear what specific number the Saudi Arabia representative gave Fernandes, but according to Record, it is a huge amount of money.
In the summer of 2023, Al Hilal spent “mountains” of money recruiting Neymar, Malcom or Aleksandar Mitrovic. This team intends to reunite Fernandes with head coach Jorge Jesus, as the two once worked together at Sporting Lisbon.
Fernandes joined MU from Sporting in January 2020 for 65 million euros. He is considered one of the most successful signings in the club’s history, to date having made a total of 215 appearances for the Red Devils, contributing 71 goals and 60 assists.
This season, Fernandes’ performance is no longer as impressive as before. After 30 appearances in all competitions, the Portuguese midfielder has only scored 7 goals and scored 6 passes for his teammates. Currently, Fernandes still has a contract with MU until 2026.
