Zayn Malik showed up to Paris Fashion Week, shocking fans with the rare move. Now, they’re getting their hopes up about a similar potential appearance at New York Fashion Week

Zayn Malik made a recent appearance at Paris Fashion Week, leaving fans wondering if he could do the same for New York Fashion Week.

After the musician distanced himself from the public after leaving One Direction, Zayn was rarely seen out and about. Over the years, he’s gone though a varying levels of publicity, including an era when he was in a public relationship with model Gigi Hadid. However, he’s consistently avoided interviews and events, frequently referencing his ongoing anxiety and mental health struggles.

In recent months, he’s been opening up, starting with an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast where Zayn admitted he want to be more outgoing for his daughter. Only months later, he stepped out in a stylish suit for a Paris Fashion Week show… could he be making a similar move soon?

A representative for Zayn declined to comment to The Mirror, leaving space for speculation by fans. “Ok but when zayn attends nyfw in a few weeks,” one inquisitive member of the Zquad, Zayn’s fanbase, wrote. Other fans responded, indicating that they hadn’t thought about that previously, but immediately chimed into agree.

“So NYFW IS COMINGGGGH IS ZAYN MALIK GOING TO BE THERE,” another fan asked. From the Kpop world, fans were excited for the possiblity to get an interaction between Zayn and one of their favorite artists. They wrote: “What if Shownu runs into Zayn at New York Fashion Week.”

Another fan realized that his appearance at Paris Fashion Week helped boost his streaming numbers which could indicate a promotional moment in New York could be imminent. They said: “Zayn’s monthly listeners on Spotify continue to rise, this time by 84,744K in 24 hours. He is now 188 in the world. His takeover of Paris Fashion. Week is still having a positive impact as folks remember he’s a world class vocalist with a world class discography.”

While linked with Gigi, including raising a child together, Zayn lived in New York City, so it’s not unfamiliar ground for him. Since his split from the model, he now lives in Pennsylvania. He said on Call Me Daddy: “I did come here with my ex and I fell in love with it. It was just super… calm and chill and like you said, suburban. I just wanted to take a break from the busy city because I was living in New York for three years at the time and it just got a bit overwhelming, going out of your door to craziness all the time.”
