Episode 1100 of One Piece will be an amazing experince for fans.
The One Piece anime has been going from strength to strength over the course of the last few years and fans have thoroughly enjoyed the incredible action, along with amazing storytelling that it has been delivering, especially since the beginning of the Wano Country arc. The One Piece anime has completely transformed itself from being an inconsistent and largely underwhelming series, especially after the timeskip, to one of the best anime that is currently ongoing.
Much of that is down to the amazing staff at Toei, all of which has been pouring their hard work into the series that they love so much. That, along with the flexible and healthier schedules has ensured the One Piece anime maintains a high level throughout the year, despite not being a seasonal one. It is no surprise for the fans to know that many big One Piece episodes are likely already planned for 2024 and one of them is going to be premiering very soon. One Piece episode 1100 looks to be very exciting for the fans and it appears that this episode might be much better than the average One Piece episode.
One Piece’s Changes To Egghead Island Arc
While the Wano Country arc certainly saw major changes being made to One Piece, from the series directors to the people involved in the production, Egghead has taken that to the next level. The Egghead Island Arc has seen many changes being made to One Piece, largely in terms of character designs, to begin with. While the character designer, Midori Matsuda, remains in the same position, her style has drastically changed, accommodating more of a softer approach to characters, inspired by the likes of Sugizono, and of course, Masami Mori. Due to the softer and bouncier character designs, the animation is obviously going to look much better.
At the same time, the line filter seems to have changed and the photography department seems to have undergone either a major upgrade, or, a change that makes it look more appealing to the fans. The new style of the One Piece anime has been appealing to the vast majority of the fans, and watchers have been loving what they have been treated to so far. It is only a matter of time before the big episode starts rolling out, with One Piece episode 1093 releasing today, and then, One Piece 1100 being set for a few months away, which already appears to be a massive one.
One Piece Episode 1100 Director – Nozomu Shishido
One Piece episode 1100 is going to be absolutely massive for the fans and one of the reasons why fans already know that it is going to be a spectacle is because the director of the episode is none other than Nozomu Shishido. For those who do not recognize this person, they might, perhaps, remember him from his spectacular work on the debut of the Egghead Island arc. In this episode, Lulusia was destroyed by the World Government and the Straw Hat Pirates gradually started edging closer to Egghead Island. This episode was spectacular from start to finish and showcased new energy that was pumped into the One Piece anime team.
Nozomu Shishido’s work on One Piece episode 1089 was spectacular from start to finish and gave fans quite a taste of what was to come. Under him were a team of talented animators and fans can rest assured that they will have brought out their very best for the upcoming clash that everyone is excited for.
Fans can expect amazing colors, along with a beautiful sense of scale in this episode. In One Piece episode 1089, the sense of scale was absolutely mesmerizing, especially in the shorts when Lulusia was erased from the map, and later on, when the Straw Hats ship was attacked by Vegapunk’s shark. At the same time, it appears that the director also loves to play with colors a lot to set the tone and that is something that should happen in episode 1100 as well.
One Piece Episode 1100 Events – Luffy vs Lucci
One might wonder as to what events One Piece episode 1100 will cover and the answer to that is that it is going to be covering the fight between Luffy and Lucci. When taking that into consideration, one can see why this episode is going to be special and why the anime team is bringing their A-game for this amazing episode. Lucy versus Lucci is an amazing fight that happens for the second time in One Piece in the Egghead Island arc. Fans remember this fight from the Enies Lobby arc, and it remains to be one of the very best fights in the story, which many even consider to be the best to date. Now, in Egghead, this fight happens once again, only this time, Luffy is an Emperor of the Sea, while Lucci, a strong member of the CP-0, is someone who refuses to recognize his authority as an Emperor.
Luffy versus Lucci is an incredible fight that sees the usage of Gear 5 once again. This is the second time that fans will see Gear 5 and the first after Luffy’s fight against Kaido. Most importantly, this is the first time that fans will see Gear 5 in the new style of the anime’s Egghead Island arc. This episode is going to be absolutely massive in many ways and fans absolutely cannot wait to see what it has to deliver. As manga readers would know already, Luffy versus Lucci is a fight that the Straw Hat Emperor fights with rather ease. He is able to maintain the fun side of his Gear 5, all the while dealing terrific damage to the CP0 agent. This fight is eventually won by Luffy, as most fans would expect.
How Good Will One Piece Episode 1100 Be?
Naturally, one would wonder as to how good One Piece episode 1100 will be. The answer to that question cannot be given at this moment. There is very little information provided about the episode, however, judging by the director itself, fans can rest assured that the episode will most certainly be a very good one. Whether it will be an episode on the same level as many other episode of the year contenders that One Piece has released, fans will have to wait to see. Yet, what can be said for sure is that Luffy versus Lucci is a major fight and certainly one of the biggest in Egghead Island.
As such, it would make sense for the One Piece staff to have decided to go all out on this episode. Furthermore, having such a talented director on this episode only strengthens the idea that it is going to be spectacular, no matter what.
Fans can expect some of the most talented animators who work with Toei, be it on their main team or even freelance, to make an impression in this episode. Most importantly, given that this is the fight where Luffy uses Gear 5 and, the new character designs of One Piece will shine quite a lot. Gear 5 is one form that benefits quite a lot from fluidity and the new character designs push that to the absolute maximum. The animators who will work on One Piece episode 1100 will likely have a blast animating this fight and showcasing the looseness and the free-flowing fighting style of Luffy in his Gear 5.
