“Neymar Will Join Us”- Santos President Drops Bombshell On Al Hilal Star’s Future

Neymar Jr is currently sidelined with a ligament injury. The player is expected to make his return by August with fans clamoring to see him back on the field. The Al Hilal star picked up an injury last year in October with Saudi fans hoping to see the player return to action. However, it seems like the player might have something else in store for his future. Santos president Marcelo Teixeira made a huge statement around the player in an interview claiming the side is close to securing a move for the player.

This could be massive news for fans with Neymar penning a $400 million plus deal with Al Hilal last summer. The player is contracted with the side until the summer of 2025 and it will be interesting to see what’s the next step for Neymar following his return from injury.

Santos president Marcelo Teixeira left everyone stunned during a recent interview. Teixeira, while talking with Football Espana, commented on his side’s interest in Neymar stating, “The conversation (with Neymar) was very quick, but it’s always quick conversations that have good effect. To come back and play here, he needs to recover well from injury. He will continue his experience in Saudi Arabia and then come back here.”

Neymar made a name for himself playing for Santos. The Brazilian star donned the team’s outfit in 142 outings bagging 73 goals and 37 assists. The Brazilian star during his time with the club won three league titles, along with the Copa Libertadores before making his move to Barcelona. A move to his former side could be a great way for the Brazilian to wrap up his decorated career.
