Manchester United have a new superstar in town, Lisandro Martinez: The Butcher of Amsterdam.

But don’t let his cutthroat nickname fool you – Martinez has a softer side, look no further than his joint Instagram account with his girlfriend, Muri Lopez Benitez, for his dog. Polo, the pair’s pet French Bulldog, has over 1,000 followers with some cute snaps of the adorable pup.

The latest snap shared on the account shows Martinez and Benitez sharing a smooch with Polo. There’s plenty of snaps of Polo living the doggy high-life by going on walks and playing with toys with his parents.

But Polo isn’t the only member of the Martinez clan who loves to show off an extravagant life on social media.

One recent snap shows the stunning Argentine in carnival attire, with the caption: “Carnival weekend! How I would like to be there and so!”

Martinez will arrive in Manchester after a successful spell under Erik ten Hag at Ajax.

However, United fans were worried about the height of the Argentine, with the diminutive defender standing at just 5ft 9in tall. Despite this Martinez wins the majority of his aerial duels in the Eredivisie.

Martinez is believed to be set to earn £120,000-per-week, which will put him in the same bracket as Fred and Victor Lindelof at Old Trafford.
