Reigning F1 champion Max Verstappen tested out the RB 20, Red Bull’s 2024 F1 challenger, at Silverstone. The Dutchman was seen driving the RB20 in rainy weather and he completed his first laps in the car. Following the testing he gave his verdict on the driveability and comfort of the Andrian Newey-designed machine.

The 26-year-old will be driving the RB20 which has a few concepts inspired by the Mercedes W14. Verstappen dominated last season with 19 race wins and record-breaking race wins in the RB-19. Many in the F1 racing community expect the dominance to continue at least for the 2024 season.

Max Verstappen, while talking about their first impression of RB20 in a video shared on Instagram by Red Bull, said that he is feeling good vibes from the RB20. He felt comfortable because it was the most important thing for him. The Dutchman added he is looking forward to driving the car in Bahrain so that he can understand the car well.

Just jumped out of the car, the first run in the RB20 today. It was a bit rainy day unfortunately but I think the first feelings are good, I felt comfortable. That’s the most important, a lot of things are checked as well now I’m just looking forward to drive in Bahrain and really start to understand the car a bit more.Verstappen said.Discover: FIA finally breaks SILENCE on Christian Horner’s inappropriate behavior investigationSergio Perez details his first impression of RB20

Sergio Perez was seen happy while driving the RB20. He was feeling positive vibes from the car and he was excited to drive the car in Bahrain. Also, the Mexican driver was feeling cold while driving the car at Silverstone.

But Perez’s 2023 campaign did go well in the RB19, his teammate Max Verstappen was winning races back-to-back and setting records, while Perez struggled to finish on the podium in that vehicle. It will be interesting to see how the Mexican driver does in the RB20.

Everyone is excited to see how RB20 will perform and how can it challenge its rival car. It will be also interesting to see how the concept of zeropod will work in that Red Bull car, as the same was rejected by Mercedes last season.
