Shovlin also stated that Throughout the test the team had made good steps in our understanding of the car. Mercedes’s next target is to set is to pick through the results and put together the best package to take into the race weekend. Shovlin remarked that it is clear that we are in a much better position than 12 months ago though. Shovlin also said that the driver’s feedback has also started to come positive.
But Mercedes needs to find a good replacement for Hamilton position’s as he will be leaving them at the end of the 2024 Season. Although there is a list of drivers who could replace Hamilton and could bring their experience in the development of the Mercedes. Mercedes’s target for this year would also be to catch the space of RedBull. It might also help them to catch better drivers at the end of the 2024 Season.
