After more than 5 years since its debut, the song “SOLO” continues to bring new achievements for Jennie.
According to Soompi, the song SOLO by Jennie – member of BLACKPINK – officially reached 1 billion views on the YouTube platform last night (February 29). This also helped Jennie make history, becoming the first female K-Pop solo artist to own a MV with the coveted 1 billion views.
Jennie’s new achievement was achieved more than 5 years and 3 months after the SOLO MV was released on November 12, 2018. Notably, although SOLO is the song that marks Jennie’s debut as a solo artist, it has brought the female idol a series of new records and achievements in the K-Pop music industry.
Right after this song reached 1 billion views, ODD ATELIER – Jennie’s own company – posted a notice and sent congratulations to the company’s CEO. The company’s official page also posted a poster congratulating Jennie’s new milestone and sharing joy with fans.
