Lizzo hinted at her curves in a peekaboo bubblegum dress as she did the media rounds for her new album this week.
The 34-year-old body positivity icon is releasing her upcoming record Special this Friday and was seen appearing on SiriusXM two days ahead of its debut.
This comes the day after her reality TV show Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls received six Emmy nominations.
Proving she is her own best advert, the body positivity icon clasped on a jeweled necklace advertising her brand Yitty.
The same day she appeared on SiriusXM , Lizzo swung by Elvis Duran And The Morning Radio Show and talked about learning to live in the moment.
She described herself as a ‘very what’s-next kind of artist,’ noting she was wearing Yitty but planning the brand ‘five, six years ago so I’m like: “Okay, what’s next?” I’m in like Q4 of like 2034, you know what I mean?’
Lizzo acknowledged: ‘And that was great, it made me ambitious, but it can be a little harmful because it’s like, you don’t really get to be present and celebrate all of your success. Like, you get insatiable and dissatisfied.’
Ultimately she found herself wondering why she was so ‘cranky’ and becoming irritated even with her ‘best friend’ for being thrilled with their triumphs, thinking: ‘Why are you so happy? We got work to do!’
However she taught herself to ‘be present’ and ‘celebrate this,’ particularly when she opened the 2020 Grammy Awards at which she was also nominated.
The morning of the awards show, she told herself: ‘Oh my gosh, this is the morning of the Grammys that I’m opening and nominated for! Like be here right now! Like don’t go to the future! Like enjoy this!’
Lizzo has managed to be ‘super present’ in the intervening time and gushed on the radio show: ‘Like I want this week to last forever.’
Even before the release of the album, Lizzo has been experiencing a banner week, as her reality show has netted six Emmy nominations.
Her Amazon Prime compeтιтion series Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls follows a group of women facing off to become her backup dancers.
The program has netted a nod in the reality compeтιтion category, as well as for its directing, casting, cinematography, editing and sound mixing.
Lizzo exulted on Instagram that ‘Nicole Kidman might be there’ and that she might therefore get a chance to meet the Big Little Lies actress.
She jokingly asked fans to ‘leave a comment of what I should do when I meet Nicole Kidman, because that’s what the Emmys means to me.’
Lizzo recently found herself in H๏τ water over her new single GRRRLS, which contained a lyric in which she uses the word ‘sp*z.’‘Hold my bag, b****, hold my bag. Do you see this s***? I’m a sp*z,’ she sang in the original version of the number.
A social media outcry erupted over the use of the ‘ableist’ term, prompting Lizzo to release a new version of the song with a changed lyric.
