The vile Five Elders have been pulling many of One Piece’s strings for years, but Luffy and his crew seem closer than ever to fighting them all.

Gear 5 Luffy is about to face the leaders of One Piece‘s corrupt World Govenment, and author Eiichiro Oda seems to be preparing for them to be in an epic battle royale against all of the Straw Hats. Egghead Island is an arc that quickly defied fans’ expectations, and it’s continued to do so by escalating into clashes readers didn’t expect to see until the end of One Piece‘s story. Especially its latest battle that may bring together the entire Straw Hat Crew.

Egghead Island has continued to give Luffy increasingly stronger foes to fight, but now he might need some help. Chapter #1109’s cliffhanger saw Elder Jaygarcia Saturn summon four figures to help him fight. Readers are likely about to witness all of The Five Elders together on the Egghead’s battlefield, an unexpected battle that Gear 5 Luffy likely won’t be enough to win.

St. Saturn’s monstrous transformation nearly spelled the end of the Straw Hat’s adventure after he arrived on the island. So things are about to get even more chaotic with four more Elders entering the fray. The only way that author Eiichiro Oda could make the battle more chaotic (and epic) is if the scattered Straw Hats gathered to take on the World Government’s leaders, a clash Oda is closer than ever to delivering.

The Straw Hats Can Escape Or Team Up To Fight The Five Elders

Sanji was shown close to Luffy as Saturn summoned reinforcements to deal with the Nika Fruit user and stop Dr. Vegapunk’s incriminating message from being broadcast to the world. However, the rest of the Straw Hat pirates are currently scattered around the island, but not for long. Some of them are already in the perfect location to support their Captain effectively in his battle against the Gorosei. At the same time, others are not far from recreating an epic team-up between the crew that One Piece hasn’t done since they took down the Giant Zombie Oars during Thriller Bark.

Nami, Usopp, Chopper, and presumably Robin are sitting high above Egghead Island, watching the situation unfold below. They are currently at an excellent location to provide long-distance support from the crew’s sniper and Nami’s effective weather manipulation techniques. While Zoro has been keeping Lucci from joining the battle against Luffy, Jimbei’s assistance may end that conflict soon and free up two of the strongest Straw Hats to join Luffy and Sanji.

Brooke and Franky seem determined to help establish a means of escape from the island, which may be needed if the Elders prove too much to handle. The original plan was to escape Egghead Island with Dr. Vegapunk. However, plans are bound to change now that the original body of One Piece‘s smartest man is seemingly dead and the Gorosei has arrived on the island. Seeing the entire crew come together to defeat the World Government’s highest-ranking Celestial Dragons would definitively prove how far Luffy and his Straw Hat crew have come since their defeat during the Sabaody Archipelago arc.

The Straw Hats Next Battle Will Change The World

Admiral Kizaru and Elder Jaygarcia Saturn had Luffy prove how terrifying Gear 5 can be during their battle on Egghead Island. Such a display of power forced the Elder to concede that he could no longer handle the situation. The demonic Celestial Dragon is about to have some serious help, so it only seems fitting to have Luffy’s crew show up when they are needed most. Hopefully, the Five Elders won’t capture Luffy before the entire Straw Hat crew shows up for what could be One Piece‘s most epic battle yet.
