Rihanna Debuts New Golden Blonde ’Do While Wearing the Coolest Drop-Waist Leather Jacket

ihanna has entered a new blonde era.

The singer and fashion and beauty mogul recently debuted new golden-blonde hair, which she swept up into an elegant wispy updo, during an outing in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. The look is most likely a wig (given that we saw her rocking a pixie cut just last Friday), but it’s nonetheless a departure from the hair colors we’ve typically seen on Rihanna in recent months—from caramel auburn to a dark honeyed blonde.

The blonde locks stood in stark contrast to the rest of the Grammy winner’s monochrome black outfit. She wore a black maxi jersey dress with a mock turtleneck layered underneath a distressed black leather jacket that featured dramatic cape sleeves and a unique ruched drop waist. To finish the look, she added strappy heeled sandals in a reflective gray, a pair of diamond earrings, and large chunky rings.

As for the rest of Rihanna’s glam, she brought the drama with smoky brown eye shadow and ’90s-esque dark brown lip gloss.

Over the past few months, Rihanna has delivered plenty of fashion statements via one-of-a-kind leather pieces.

During a birthday trip to Italy with boyfriend A$AP Rocky, she was spotted wearing a long black leather coat lined with creamy shearling, a standout piece from Junya Watanabe’s Fall/Winter 2023 ready-to-wear collection. The coat featured fringe, a lace-up detail, and croc-embossed panels along the sleeves.

On another occasion from January, she stepped out in Paris wearing a slick black belted leather jacket layered underneath a draping leather shawl with a fringe tassel hemline, both pieces hailing from Saint Laurent.
