Watch: Conor McGregor personally maps out his fights scenes with Jake Gyllenhaal in his movie debut Road House… and the UFC legend even ad libs some lines!

MMA fighter Conor McGregor took to social media to share a glimpse of his debut film experience.

McGregor shared a clip showcasing the rigorous preparation alongside his co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal, for their climactic fight scene.

The film, which will stream on Amazon Prime is a remake of the 1989 Patrick Swayze-led project of the same name.

Captioned with ‘Proper graft,’ McGregor’s post originally surfaced on Prime Video, revealing his hands-on involvement in directing the scene.

In the clip, McGregor is seen providing guidance to Gyllenhaal on the fight amidst the watchful eyes of film executives.

The Irishman is set to make his MMA return later this year when he takes on Michael Chandler

In the video shared online, McGregor leads his fight scene: ‘You’re on top of the door, I punch in the door. Boom. I punch in the window, you push me back, smash the glass.

‘I think I say something to him here. I guess I f***** up your leg’, he adds.

The footage juxtaposes their on-set efforts with the final product, now available for streaming on Prime Video since March 21.

Gyllenhaal, 43, plays Elwood Dalton, a former UFC fighter who becomes a bouncer for a dingy bar in the Florida Keys, starring alongside UFC fighter McGregor, 35.

The actor also revealed that McGregor had ‘punched him by mistake’ in a recent interview with the Daily Telegraph Australia.

Despite this venture into acting, McGregor recently confirmed that he doesn’t intend to give up fighting until he is ‘going down into the ground’.

The UFC star is awaiting his comeback after nearly three years out of the octagon, and it is looking increasingly likely that he will finally take on Michael Chandler in his comeback fight later this year.

He hasn’t competed since breaking his leg in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier, but has nonetheless been involved in a number of verbals involving various fellow stars.

All eyes are now on UFC CEO Dana White for confirmation on McGregor’s Octagon return, anticipated after a three-year hiatus due to injury.
