Ariana Grande went full old-Hollywood glamour for her performance of “Dangerous Woman” at the MTV Movie Awards on Saturday night. The powerhouse vocalist wore a Marilyn Monroe-worthy strapless pink gown with thick diamond necklace and fur draped over her arms, while singing a stripped-down version of the sultry track backed only by a piano and clouds of smoke. (Well, the instrumentation was stripped-down, but Grande’s vocals were full-force.) Jason Robert Brown, the Tony-winning composer behind Grande’s Broadway debut in the musical 13, played piano for Grande.
“Dangerous Woman” is the title track from Grande’s upcoming third album, due May 20. The song made its live debut when Grande was the host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live last month.
Grande shared a pic of her throwback look on Instagram ahead of the show’s telecast Sunday night (April 10).
